The 3rd Annual General Meeting of MCCC took place on Wednesday, 27th February 2008 at the Seaview Hotel, Kuala Belait. The theme of the Assembly was “Mission: Doing and Living it”. After the Welcome and Introduction, the members took part in a Gospel Sharing Session which was followed by dinner. Reports on the various different areas of work were given and commented on.
Our members working in Cambodia spoke on their experiences and mission there.
Fr Ivan spoke on the need to do mission at home as well as nearby in Malaysia if we are to be a credible force within the outreach ministry of the church. There was also a comment on the need to raise more awareness among the people on missionary work. The financial situation of the group remained a sticky point and it was agreed that more concerted efforts be put into fund raising. The meeting ended with a note of thanks for all those who participated and anticipation for the next gathering.
